Why We Exist

At Youth Action Movement (YAM), we believe that every teen has a spark—a sense of purpose, curiosity, and potential just waiting to be lit. Since 2012, our mission has been to help ignite that spark by guiding Jewish teens to live meaningful, inspired lives grounded in tradition, community, and personal growth.

We’re here to create experiences that aren’t just fun—but formative. From Shabbat dinners to humanitarian projects, social events to thought-provoking discussions, everything we do is about helping teens connect: to their Jewish identity, to their peers, and most importantly, to themselves.

Teen years are a time of exploration, questions, and big choices. We’re here to walk that journey with them—not with lectures, but with love, leadership, and a strong sense of purpose.

At YAM, our mission is to:

  • Inspire pride and connection to Jewish roots and heritage

  • Empower teens to become confident, compassionate leaders

  • Build a vibrant community where every teen feels seen and supported

  • Make Jewish life engaging, real, and relevant for today’s world

  • Encourage action—because belief means little without impact

“Because at YAM, we don’t just want teens to feel connected—we want them to feel unstoppable.”

— Rabbi Zevi
